Turtles are the best pets to raise, bar none. You only need to provide a "palm-sized" space, and a turtle can live for decades, even achieving the feat of "one turtle lasts for three generations."

Spending a dozen or so yuan to buy a bag of turtle pellets is enough for the turtle to eat for 1 year. If you promptly dispose of the waste in the turtle tank, raising a turtle will not only avoid being smelly as others say, but the turtle itself can also absorb harmful substances in the air, acting as an air purifier.

Feeding Habits and Health Management

This "street stall item (low-priced goods sold at markets or roadside stalls)," I have raised for 8 years, and it has not been sick once to this day. Normally, feeding is mainly turtle pellets, with small fish (caught in the river, feeding 3 or 4 at a time) every other day, trying to achieve regular and quantitative feeding, keeping the turtle in a state of hunger at all times. Doing so has 2 biggest benefits:

This "turtle" of mine has already developed the habit of defecating immediately after eating, and normally the turtle tank is clean without any excrement, which makes it very worry-free and easy to manage. Care Precautions

Prioritize turtle pellets and small fish and shrimp; try to feed less meat. You can only feed raw meat; feeding cooked meat will kill the "turtle."

Feed at fixed times and in fixed amounts; it is better to feed less than to feed too much.

Maintain water quality. Try to change the water every 2 or 3 days, but tap water is not suitable for direct use; try to let it sit for 1 day, especially for small turtles.

Pay attention to temperature difference (the difference between the highest value and the lowest value appearing within a certain period of time); turtles fear temperature changes the most.

Sunbathe appropriately, but do not expose to scorching sun.
