When it comes to choosing between Musk Turtles and Razorback Turtles, here’s my take

Both Musk and Razorback turtles have seen a drop in price, so which one is more suitable to purchase? The Musk Turtle has dropped from over 130 to around 60, and the Razorback has also plummeted from over 350 to around 200. Their prices have nearly been halved, making it the right time to buy a pair for fun.

In terms of breeding difficulty, both Musk and Razorback are deep-water turtles with good swimming skills from a young age, and both can hibernate. They are also considered to be quite disease-resistant and robust breeds in the turtle world. These two are well-matched and very suitable for beginners.

When it comes to choosing between Musk Turtles and Razorback Turtles, here's my take
On the left is the Razorback, and on the right is the Musk.

Regarding physical appearance, the adult sizes of both breeds are not large and are quite similar. The Razorback Turtle has a back ridge like a mountain range, and as it grows, it develops radial patterns, coupled with dense head markings, making it appear more beautiful. In contrast, most Musk Turtles are generally dark and unremarkable, with only their head markings being slightly more attractive.

When it comes to interactive experience, it goes without saying that the Musk Turtle is as sociable as a dog. It comes when called, while the Razorback is much more timid, often hiding in a corner motionless.

So, if you prefer a turtle with good interaction, choose the Musk; if you prefer a more visually appealing appearance, choose the Razorback. If your budget allows, it is recommended to have both, as the price of two now could only afford one in the past.
