Kittens are usually 0 to 8 months old. They open their eyes at about one week of age and then begin to explore the world around them, albeit at an unsteady pace. Kittens sleep for a long time, at least 20 hours a day.
For the first two months of their lives, kittens feed primarily on their mother’s milk. After two months, they begin to wean and grow small teeth. At three months old, kittens can start to try dry cat food, but it should be noted that their digestive system is not yet fully developed, so it is recommended to adopt a small amount of food and choose easy-to-digest food as the staple food.
At this stage of growth, kittens are very active as they are teething, often chewing on things, curious, and like to gnaw and scratch everywhere. Pet owners should focus on developing their cat’s character at this stage, and good training can make them more docile and obedient as they grow up.
