Real Case: Teddy Dog Ingesting Poison

A friend of mine owns a Teddy dog, and due to work reasons, he usually gets home very late. The first thing he does after returning home is to take his dog out for a walk. However, one day while walking the dog, he noticed that the Teddy dog sniffed the ground for a long time, seemingly eating something, but he didn’t pay much attention to it. Within half an hour after returning home, he found the dog convulsing and foaming at the mouth.

At that moment, he was terrified and realized that the dog might have ingested something it shouldn’t have while walking, leading to this situation. However, as this was his first encounter with such a situation, he didn’t know how to handle it and took no measures other than comforting the dog. Later, when he contacted a pet hospital and rushed the dog there for gastric lavage, the toxins had already spread, and it was too late.

If he had taken immediate measures to induce vomiting and rushed the dog to the hospital at that time, I believe the dog’s chances of survival would have been greatly increased. In fact, there are still many residential areas where some people dislike or even hate dogs, and they might poison them. Many dogs like to sniff around on the ground and eat anything that looks tasty. If a dog accidentally ingests something it shouldn’t and no effective measures are taken, it could lead to lifelong regret for the dog. Therefore, I want to share with you the most effective and safest method of inducing vomiting.

Essential Item: Hydrogen Peroxide

First and foremost, it is crucial to have hydrogen peroxide at home. Generally, if a dog ingests something it shouldn’t, you can mix five milliliters of hydrogen peroxide with five milliliters of milk and administer it down the dog’s throat. After waiting for ten minutes, the dog will begin to vomit. Some people online suggest using saltwater and soapy water to induce vomiting, but I really do not recommend it because it can cause significant harm to the dog’s stomach and should only be used as a last resort.
